CHAPTER 240.

PASSPORTS.

AN ACT REGULATING THE ISSUE OF PASSPORTS AND OTHER MATTERS INCIDENTAL THERETO.

[18th December 1919.] 1. This Act may be cited as The Passport Act.

  1. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires'passenger' includes any person carried on a ship other than the master and persons employed in the work or service of the ship.

  2. Whenever it shall appear to the Governor that it will be for the public benefit so to do the Governor may by Order prohibit any person entering or leaving the Colony as a passenger unless he has in his possession a valid passport or some other document satisfactorily establishing his nationality or identity.

  3. Every such passport and document as aforesaid shall have attached thereto a photograph of the person to whom it relates.

  4. The Governor may make rules with respect to any or all of the following matters: (a) the mode of application for passports and the charges thereof;

(b) the persons to whom passports will be granted;

(c) the period for which passports will be available;

(d) describing the method for the renewing of...
