CHAPTER 250.

INFLAMMABLE LIQUIDS.

AN ACT RELATING TO THE STORAGE, SAFEKEEPING AND CONVEYANCE OF INFLAMMABLE LIQUIDS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

  1. This Act may be cited as The Inflammable Liquids Act.

  2. In this Act'inflammable liquid' means any liquid which at temperature of or lower than 150 degrees Fahrenheit gives off an inflammable vapour or which has a flash point of less than 200 degrees Fahrenheit and shall for the purposes of this Act include gasoline, benzine, kerosene, paraffin oils, naphtha and bottled gas.

  3. The Governor may make rules(a) to regulate the mode of storing and the maximum amount of such inflammable liquids to be kept in any store;

(b) for the purpose of empowering and authorising the police or any other person authorised by the Governor to enter and inspect any store, warehouse or building where inflammable liquids are stored or exposed for sale;

(c) to regulate the conveyance, loading or unloading of inflammable liquids and the description...
