MCCrApp & CAIS No. 269 of 2014

Burrows
and
The Commissioner of Police
Appearances:

Appellant appeared Pro Se.

Mr. Ambrose Armbrister, with Mr. Randolph Dames, counsel for respondent.

Criminal Practice and Procedure - Appeal against sentence — Appellant found in possession of drugs and the paraphernalia — Previous convictions for drugs — Whether the sentence of four years is unduly harsh or severe — Appeal dismissed.

Allen, P.
1

We have considered the appeal and what the appellant had to say, and having regard the amount of drugs that the appellant was found in possession of and the circumstances in which the appellant was found in possession of those drugs and the paraphernalia, all of which indicates that the appellant was actively supplying those drugs to others and that the appellant had it there with that intention at least; and having taken into account the appellant's previous convictions for drugs, we do not find that the sentence of four years is unduly harsh or severe and we would not interfere.

We therefore dismiss the appeal against sentence and affirm the sentence of four years which was imposed on the appellant on 22nd November, 2013.

Allen, P.
