CONSULAR CONVENTIONS (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS).

AN ACT TO IMPLEMENT IN THE COLONY CERTAIN OF THE PROVISIONS OF CONVENTIONS REGARDING CONSULAR OFFICERS OF FOREIGN STATES MADE OR TO BE MADE WITH THOSE FOREIGN STATES BY THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND.

[21stJuly 952.i 1. This Act may be cited as The Consular Conventions (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act.

  1. --(1) Subject to the provisions of this section a consular office of a State with which the Government of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has concluded a consular convention shall not be entered by a constable or other person acting in the execution of any warrant or other legal process or in the exercise of powers conferred by or under any enactment (whether passed before or after the commencement of this Act), or otherwise, except with the consent of the consular officer in charge of that office or, if that consent is withheld or cannot be obtained, with the consent of the Secretary of State:
