CHAPTER 3.

EVIDENCE (BRITISH AND COMMONWEALTH STATUTES).

AN ACT TO FACILITATE THE ADMISSION IN EVIDENCE OF STATUTES PASSED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OR OF OTHER COUNTRIES OF THE COMMONWEALTH.

  1. This Act may be cited as The Evidence (British and Commonwealth Statutes) Act.

  2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires'Government printer' means as respects the United Kingdom or any country of the Commonwealth, the printer purporting to be the printer authorised to print the Acts, Ordinances or Statutes of the legislature of the United Kingdom or of that country of the Commonwealth;

    'country of the Commonwealth' means any country of the Commonwealth other than the United Kingdom and where any parts of that country are both under a central and a local legislature, includes both all parts under the central legislature and each part under a local legislature.

  3. -(1) Copies of Acts, ordinances and statutes passed (whether before or after the coming into operation of this Act) by the legislature of the United Kingdom or of a country of the Commonwealth, and of orders, regulations, and other instruments issued or made (whether before or after the coming into operation of this Act) under the authority of any such Act, ordinance or...
