    INDUSTRIAL SCHOOLS (SUBORDINATE OFFICERS).

    AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, EMOLUMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE OF SUBORDINATE OFFICERS OF INDUSTRIAL SCHOOLS AND FOR PURPOSES INCIDENTAL THERETO AND, CONNECTED THEREWITH.

    [8th August 1964.1 [Commencement 1st July 1964.] 1. This Act may be cited as The Industrial Schools (Subordinate Officers) Act.

  15. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires'industrial school' means a place or premises declared to be an industrial school under the provisions of section 20 of The Children and Young Persons (Administration of Justice) Act and which is wholly maintained out of public funds;

    'Public Service Commission' means the Commission established by section 95 of the Constitution;

    'subordinate officer' means an officer of an industrial school holding a post specified in the second column of the First Schedule to this Act;

    'Superintendent' means the officer holding the post of Superintendent, Industrial School (Boys) or Superintendent, Industrial School (Girls) specified in Schedule A to The Public Service Act or in any Act passed in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor;

    'Visiting Committee' means the Visiting Committee appointed under the provisions of section 23 of The Children and Young Persons (Administration of Justice) Act.
