CHAPTER 325.

PENSIONS INCREASES (WIDOWS AND ORPHANS AND WAR CONTINGENT) AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR INCREASES OF PENSIONS PAYABLE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE PUBLIC OFFICERS' WIDOWS' AND ORPHANS' PENSIONS ACT 1872 AND THE BAHAMA ISLANDS WAR CONTINGENT ACT AND TO VALIDATE PREVIOUS PAYMENTS OF INCREASES OF SUCH PENSIONS.

[23rd May 1962.] 1. This Act may be cited as The Pensions Increases (Widows and Orphans and War Contingent) Act.

  1. In this Act'pension' means a pension payable under the provisions of The Public Officers' Widows' and Orphans' Pension Act 1872 or The Bahama Islands War Contingent Act.

  2. Every person in receipt of a pension on the date of the coming into operation of this Act shall be entitled to receive and shall be paid, with effect from the date of the coming into operation of this Act, an increase of two hundred per centum of such pension.
