CHAPTER 330.
PRISON DEPARTMENT (SUBORDINATE OFFICERS' SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES).
AN ACT TO PROVIDE THE RATES OF SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES OF SUBORDINATE OFFICERS OF THE PRISON DEPARTMENT AND TO REPEAL THE PRISON DEPARTMENT (SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES) ACT 1956.
[9th June 1960.] 1. This Act may be cited as The Prison Department (Subordinate Officers' Salaries and Allowances) Act.
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires'Public Service Commission' means the Commission established by section 95 of the Constitution;
'subordinate officer' means an officer of the Prison Department holding a rank appearing in the first column of the First Schedule to this Act.
-(1) The salaries payable to subordinate officers shall be those specified in the second column of the First Schedule to this Act in respect of their ranks appearing in the first column thereof.
(2) Every sub.ordinate officer shall be entitled to receive and shall be paid in addition to his salary payable under the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, a non-pensionable allowance calculated on such salary at the rate of five per centum per annum.
